Carpets Stains Library How to Find and Clean Pet Urine Stains
Urine consists of various types of molecules, including urea, uric acid, creatinine, citrate, sodium, potassium, ammonium, calcium, magnesium, oxalate, sulphate, phosphate, phosphorous, and urobilin, as well as potential bacteria and other molecules. Each of these molecules has distinct properties. For example, the yellow colour is due to a molecule called urobilin, while substances like bacteria and urea contribute to the odour. When pet urine accidents are viewed under ultraviolet (UV) light, the urine stain will emit a glow, known as fluorescence.
